The unsolved mystery of famous Aarushi�s murder case has been the backdrop of Aamir Khan�s �Talaash�. It is said that the film has been inspired from the real life murder case and the movie shows buts and pieces of the same.
Aarushi 14 a resident of Noida was murdered at her own house in 2008. Her parents who are dentists by profession have been accused of the murder but not concrete evidence was found. It is said that her parents tried to destroy the evidence. On the same day, on the terrace of their flat their domestic help�s body was also found. Unable to crack the murder mystery by police, the case was handed over to CBI but the case still remains unsolved.
Director Reema Kagti and producer Aamir, who also plays the lead in the film, investigate how the Noida suburb police investigate the case and later handed over the case to CBI. The makers also tried to solve the mystery from newspaper puzzle.
Aamir and Reema wanted to know why police failed to crack the murder mystery and under what circumstances the case was hand over to CBI.
Neither Aamir nor Reema were available to comment on it. Co-produced by Farhan Akhtar and Aamir, the movie also features Rani Mukerji and Kareena Kapoor. It releases Nov 30.
Speaking about the movie, Reema said, "Zoya and I thought of the story and co-wrote it. We do a lot of writing together. We are also best friends so it is fun and there is a huge comfort factor."
In the film, Aamir plays a police inspector and Rani Mukherjee plays his wife.
